Our first trip to India and we were lucky enough to have Alyson as our escort with an English speaking local tour guide during the sightseeing excursions. An added advantage was being on a small group tour. There were six of us travelling in an airconditioned minivan, which was equipped with WIFI so we were able to stay connected while travelling. Our 4 star accommodations were excellent, some were palaces.

I cannot speak highly enough of Alyson's fun and very efficient approach to making sure our travels went smoothly. She has an awesome knowledge of India and is very passionate about the country.

For our Glimpse of India we travelled from Mumbai through to Delhi, visiting exotic palaces, museums and temples. There were so many fascinating photo opportunities: the Mehrangarh Fort - so impressive, walking through the narrow lanes of the blue city in Jodhpur, visiting the Spice Girls and seeing a monk on an elephant making their way through the market collecting alms - all amazing.

An early morning hike to the Savitri temple perched up on a hilltop was another highlight, and travelling by rickshaw through a bird sanctuary another great experience.

And of course, visiting the Taj Mahal was a must, an incredible experience and such a beautiful monument. Finishing in Delhi and taking a cycle rickshaw tour and visiting a spice market - so lucky to have such a perfect glimpse into such an amazing country.

I cannot recommend Alyson as an escort for your tour highly enough, and we are pleased to say she has become a good friend. We would not hesitate to travel with her guidance again.

Alyson was recommended to me as an India Travel Specialist to organise a 3-week trip to India for a group of 10 of us. We had a fair idea of what we wanted to see, where we wanted to go, based on the usual tourist destinations and some extra wish-list items. Alyson put together the most amazing trip for us with absolutely everything covered. Not just all the places we had asked, but one or two extras as well along the way. Everything was meticulously arranged - visas, vaccinations needed, international and domestic travel, internal road and train transport, great tours and guides along the way, outstanding and diverse accommodations. She had also arranged for a local travel agent to communicate regularly with us to check that everything was going ok. The entire experience was deeply immersive, with a great balance of organised things to see and do and free time for us to do our own thing. India can be challenging and we all felt very confident that everything was in order, leaving us free to enjoy what the country had to offer. We loved it all.
